We had a special class in late May. It was all about parlour games. Before TV and the internet, families would sometimes get together in the evenings and play games together. Of course, card games were popular, as was singing and playing instruments. But fun family-friendly games were also popular. These include ‘Guess who I am’ or ‘Who am I?’ games, hangman, and many others. When I was a child we always played parlour games at my grandparents’ house at Christmas. It’s very nostalgic to think about that time! 懐かしい!
In this class we played some of those language games! And as a bonus, there was tea and coffee, and some of the students brought snacks! Thank you!!
By the way, a ‘parlour’ is an old name for a ‘living room’.
Anyway, there will be another special lesson coming soon, so we hope to see you there!
