We will be having a special class in late May. It’s all about parlour games. Before TV and the internet, families would sometimes get together in the evenings and play games together. Of course, card games were popular, as was singing and playing instruments. But fun family-friendly games were also popular. These include ‘Guess who I am’ or ‘Who am I?’ games, hangman, and many others. When I was a child we always played parlour games at my grandparents’ house at Christmas. It’s very nostalgic to think about that time! 懐かしい!
In this class we will play some of these language games! And as a bonus, there will be tea and coffee!
By the way, a ‘parlour’ is an old name for a ‘living room’.
Anyway, check out the poster below for information about the class – anyone is welcome to join!
